Birthday Wishes!!!

Just a quick note today to extend birthday wishes to Asylum founding partner and executive producer David Michael Latt, a.k.a.one of the three dudes that makes every single Asylum film happen, a.k.a. one of my personal heroes.

So we here at Committed - that is, me - offer our many happy returns of the day.

Birthday Wishes to Writer/Director Leigh Scott!

 Committed would like to extend birthday wishes today to writer/director Leigh Scott, who, in his time with The Asylum, became the most prolific director to date for the studio, releasing 11 films between 2005 and 2007, including an incredible six in 2006 (and this is in addition to his work as a line producer, an editor, a digital artist, and even a stunt driver - this guy gives all of himself, it seems.).

Birthday Wishes to Writer/Actor Geoff Meed!

On this final day of the year Committed would like to extend birthday wishes to writer/actor/one-day-director/multiple-Looney-award-nominee Geoff Meed, of I Am Omega, 6 Guns, and Airline Disaster fame, next to be seen in the fifth installment in the Fast and Furious franchise, Fast Five, set for release April 29th, 2011. Mr. Meed is also currently writing his next script, an as-yet unrevealed SyFy original movie.

So Happy Birthday, Mr. Meed, and may you have a prosperous, action-packed year!

Birthday Wishes/ inmate profile: Paul Logan

In Paul Logan, The Asylum got more than a pretty face and a chiseled physique, they got their first bona-fide action star. A veteran of six Asylum films (plus some uncredited stunt work, according to IMDB, on Titanic II), Logan possesses, as I think I've alluded to before, the stern charm of a pre-Over The Top Sylvester Stallone, teamed with the husky confidence of Jason Statham, and just a dash of the bulky fighting style of Governor Schwarzenegger. So imagine those three having a baby somehow, and Paul Logan is pretty much what you end up with. Good guy, bad guys, good guys with some bad tendencies or bad guys with good leanings, PL has totally owned every role he's taken for The Asylum, and as it stands, along with Kim Little, he is the longest-active Asylum actor, having worked with the gang from their very first film - Killers - all the way up to three releases this year. So he's thoroughly committed. And, as I know I've alluded to before, he has the best run in The Asylum. Really, watching this guy run, it's like stumbling upon a wild Clydesdale. Such command. Anyway, I digress; below please find Paul Logan's filmography with The Asylum. He can next be seen in Ballistica, a Bourne-looking action/spy thriller, releasing on November 16th.

...are extended to day to Greg Evigan - star of Asylum features Journey to the Center of the Earth, 100 Million B.C. and 6 Guns - who turns a cruel 57 years old today (Cruel because at 57 he looks better than most of us did at 27. You attractive bastard, Evigan.) There's nothing at present in Evigan's filmography linking him to The Asylum, but talent like this won't lay dormant for long. Many happy returns of the day, Greg!

...are extended today to the lovey and multi-talented Tiffany, who turns a you-go-girl 39 today! Best wishes are of course extended to COMMITTED's favorite teen-queen turned scream-queen, who promises to have a great year ahead of her, the entire world waiting with baited breath for Mega Python vs. Gatoroid. Until then, however, I'm going to pour some Chablis, turn the lights low, the fire high, and just chill to some Dreams Never Die.
